The 4 Disciplines of Execution for Leadership Teams

The 4 Disciplines of Execution for Leadership Teams

The 4 Disciplines of Execution for Senior Leadership Teams

A simple, repeatable formula for executing your most important priorities

At the start of every financial year, leadership teams around the world sit down to define their priorities and plans… so why is it so hard to execute upon them?

Every year, organisations spend more than USD $30 billion on strategy creation — and more than 80% of those strategies fail. FranklinCovey’s The 4 Disciplines of Execution® methodology provides the framework for organisations seeking to increase strategic execution by creating a culture of high performance.

  • Discipline 1 – Focus on the Wildly Important
    • Exceptional execution starts with narrowing the focus—clearly identifying what must be done.
  • Discipline 2 – Act on the Lead Measures
    • This is the discipline of leverage. 80% of your results will come from 20% of your activities; are you focusing on the right ones?
  • Discipline 3 – Keep a Compelling Storyboard
    • People and teams play differently when they are keeping score, and the right kind of scoreboards motivate the players to win.
  • Discipline 4 – Create a Cadence of Accountability
    • Each team engages in a simple weekly process that highlights successes, analyses failures, and course-corrects as necessary, creating the ultimate performance-management system.

This is a rare chance for leaders to work with a global thought leader on strategy and execution and is limited to 50 places.

Facilitated by Chris McChesney; co-author of the best-selling book The Four Disciplines of Execution and Global Practice Leader of Execution for FranklinCovey Co, this three-part series is designed to help senior leadership teams with the following:
